ASK®-API: Dry Break Coupling for bottom loading

ASK®-API coupling and uncoupling is quick and easy. The coupling was designed as a high-quality female part, which is compatible with DN100 male parts per API 1004.

To connect the two coupling halves together, place the female ASK®-API connector on the male adaptor. Now, with a single rotation movement of the hand lever, the coupling can be sealed and the coupling valve can be opened. To detach the coupling simply reverse the process.

High level of compatibility

The ASK®-API possesses a high level of compatibility. It is designed for API 1004 male parts and has a TTMA flanged American Tank Truck Standard connection.

Seal change-out without disassembly

The sealing gaskets of the ASK®-API can be exchanged quickly and easily. Thanks to its intelligent design, the coupling requires no disassembling.

Fast loading

Because operating the Dry Break coupling is so easy, connection time is minimal. Furthermore, the flow-optimized design of the ASK-API shortens loading times.

Maximum flow

WThe flow-optimized design of the ASK-API was determined using the finite element method (FEM), validated by flow tests. The Dry Break coupling causes minimal pressure drop when at maximum flow.

Error-free coupling using the magnetic lockout

We offer the option of a magnetic lockout for the ASK®-API. This prevents accidental coupling with connections carrying a different fuel from that intended, thereby avoiding unwanted product mixing.

Retention valve for additional sealing

The ASK®-API can also be equipped with a retention valve, which reliably prevents return from the tanker.

Fully verified by international certification entities

The ASK®-API Dry Break coupling has been certified by internationally recognized approval entities. Consequently, there are no reservations regarding its use in various safety-related applications.

The ASK®-API is particularly suitable for bottom loading. Manufactured in strict accordance with API 1004, it is equipped with an industry-standard TTMA connection, which provides a high level of compatibility. Among other applications, the ASK®-API can be used on all mineral oil sector tankers that require bottom loading.
