ASK®-HD: Dry Break Coupling for liquids and gases at high pressure

Connecting and disconnecting the ASK dry coupling is simple and fast.

To connect, place the female part onto the male part of the dry coupling. With a single, continuous rotational movement, the coupling is first sealed and then its valves are opened. The transported medium thus remains safely and without loss in the line.

The disconnection of the ASK-HD takes place in reverse order. The valves of its coupling halves lock automatically, thereby preventing any media loss. The male part typically remains on the equipment, as its valve stays securely closed until the next coupling operation.

Drip-free & safe

The valves of the ASK-HD guarantee drip-free connecting and disconnecting, so that neither the environment nor the user is exposed to harm.

Fast loading processes

You can disconnect the ASK-HD even when the line is still filled, which significantly accelerates loading processes. The easy handling of the dry coupling also minimizes the time required to establish a connection. The ergonomically optimized hand wheel also contributes to this, making operation significantly easier compared to a conventional holding grip.

Maximum flow rate

We determined the flow-optimized design of the ASK-HD using the Finite Element Method (FEM) and validated it through flow testing. This minimizes pressure loss and enables the dry coupling to achieve a maximum flow volume.

Integrated swivel joint

The integrated swivel joint on the female part of the dry coupling minimizes mechanical stress and prevents torsional load from acting on the line. Additionally, the high-quality construction of the dry coupling ensures long-term, smooth rotation capability of the swivel joint. The ASK-HD is accordingly very low-maintenance.

Greater safety with ARTA-Pin

The ARTA-Pin provides an additional safety feature. It is located on the female part of the dry coupling and engages with the male part to counteract unintentional loosening of the coupling connection.

Error-free coupling thanks to mechanical encoding

For all ARTA dry couplings, we offer the option of mechanical encoding. It prevents accidental coupling with fittings that transport a different substance than intended. This prevents unintended mixing of media.

The ASK-HD dry coupling from ARTA is used on suction and pressure lines for liquid and gaseous substances. It can be used in both hose lines and pipe loading systems.
