Resistance to aggressive media
The NTS®-SZ-CS is predominantly constructed of plastic and has been specially developed for use with aggressive inorganic and organic substances, such as acids and alkalis.
Non-destructive separation
The design of the NTS®-SZ-CS separates safely and directly, keeping coupling components intact. This ensures a long service life for the NTS. Furthermore, the separation mechanism permits spill-free retention storage of the media in both coupling halves. There is no impact on the environment and there are no additional material costs.
Quick and easy reassembly on site
The task of reassembling a disconnected Breakaway Coupling is quick one, because separation is not destructive. The separated halves are united with a simple device rather than special tools or spare parts, and unnecessary downtime is thus avoided.
Maximum flow
The flow-optimized NTS®-SZ-CS design was created using the finite element method (FEM) validated by flow tests. The results show that pressure loss is minimal when the breakaway coupling is at maximum delivery flow.
Patented trigger mechanism with fully flexible 360° range of activation
The optimized release mechanism prevents a pulling action between a vehicle, the NTS and the remainder of the system. In this manner, safe separation is ensured even under bad conditions. The fully flexible 360° range of activation allows separation regardless of the direction in which a tensile force is exerted on the system, and the high-performance triggering mechanism of the NTS®-SZ-CS remains unaffected by line pressure.
